On December 12, 2024, a delegation from the Center for Law and Policy Affairs and the Poribesh Bachao Andolan discussed the protection of fields and parks with Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Mr. Sharafuddin Ahmed. During the discussion, it was recommended to prepare a list for the protection of fields and parks, identify encroachers and provide necessary instructions for their rescue. In accordance with the Fields, Parks and Reservoirs Protection Act 2000, it called for taking such steps in all districts and upazilas of Dhaka Division. The Divisional Commissioner highlighted the importance of fields in protecting health and the mental development of adolescents. He assured that the Divisional Commissioner’s office would take necessary steps. The delegation included Public Health Specialist Aminul Islam, Professor AFM Sarwar, Barrister Nishat Mahmud, General Secretary of Poribesh Bachao Andolan Mezbah Sumon, Advocate Syed Mahbubul Alam, CLPA, Atiqur Rahman, CLPA and Kazi Tarikuzzaman CLPA, among others.
