On December 20, 2020, the Center for Law and Policy Affairs (CLPA) organized a webinar on “The Role of Environmental Court Law in Environmental Protection.” Senior Advocate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, Zahirul Islam Khan, and Deputy Attorney General of Bangladesh, F. R. Khan, participated as discussants. Advocate Syed Mahbubul Alam, Secretary of CLPA, presented the keynote paper, while Barrister Nishat Mahmood moderated the session. The speakers emphasized the need to amend the Environmental Court Law to empower citizens to file cases directly.
