The Center for Law and Policy Affairs (CLPA) is a policy research and advocacy organization dedicated to strengthening legal frameworks and promoting evidence-based policymaking in Bangladesh. Since its inception in 2008 and formal registration in 2016, CLPA has been actively working to influence laws and policies that enhance public health, governance, and social justice.
CLPA’s legal and policy work focuses on research, analysis, and reform of national laws, regulations, and institutional frameworks. The organization collaborates with government bodies, development partners, civil society, and the media to support the development and implementation of effective, inclusive, and people-centered policies.
Through a bottom-up approach, CLPA integrates community-level insights into national advocacy efforts, ensuring that policies reflect real needs and challenges. Its work spans key areas such as public health (including tobacco control and nutrition policies), regulatory reforms, and rights-based policy development.
By combining technical expertise with grassroots engagement, CLPA contributes to building a stronger legal and policy environment that supports sustainable development and improves the well-being of all citizens.
