A K M Maksud is a social worker, change maker and a social researcher of Bangladesh. Maksud obtained Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree and Master of Social Sciences (MSS) degrees in Sociology  from the University of Dhaka and obtained Bachelor of Laws (Honours) degree from the University of London UK. He is the founder and Executive Director of two nationally reputed organizations. Mr. Maksud was awarded Ashoka Fellowship in 2006. He was the member of Technical Committee of the National HIV/AIDS Committee (TC-NAC) of the Government Bangladesh (2008-2012). His social works and social researches were mentioned and referred in many internationally reputed academic journals, books and newspapers. He is the author of many research publications, journal articles and books. He has been successful in raising a considerable amount of funds for implementing many non-profit projects those made extraordinary contribution in poverty alleviation, promoting access to health and education services by the poor, promoting livelihood skills and decent jobs etc.
